Hi. Yeah, that's me down on the lefthand side of the  sidebar. Don't ask me how I got so damn old. I don't really visualize myself as an old man until I look in the mirror and then it's too late. . .ugh.

Enough about me for now. For those of you unfamiliar with the term screwing the pooch it means making a mistake of life changing or catastrophic proportions. It was introduced into everyday language in Tom Wolfe's book, The Right Stuff, a smash hit movie and best seller of 1979.

 The book this website introduces is a compilation of seven short stories. What makes Pooch unique is the mix of genre fiction in the collection. Pooch has a story to fit everyone's taste: romance, suspense, thriller, horror, mystery, coming of age and dramatic tragedy. If you can't find a story that appeals in Pooch, well, maybe you should go literary or non-fiction or better yet watch the BBC and read something uplifting like "The Making of the Wonda-Bra." That's my opinion for what it's worth.
